Eva, I. Fritz, age 92, of Fennimore passed away on Friday evening Sept. 28, 2018 at the Grant Regional Health Center in Lancaster surrounded by her loving family. She was born on Sept. 22, 1926 in Stitzer the daughter of Earl and Martha (Hirsch) Trollop.
After graduating from Fennimore High School, Eva was united in marriage to Carl Fritz on Sept. 25, 1946 at the St. Peter Lutheran Church in Fennimore. They farmed in Mt. Ida Township until purchasing their farm in rural Stitzer. Together they farmed until retiring in 1987 and moved to Fennimore. Eva believed in working very hard and enjoyed lending a helping hand around the farm. Her greatest joy was raising her six children and being an active grandmother supporting her grandchildren. She was always there for everyone and loved attending all of the grandchildren’s activities. She was an avid sports fan and loved to support the Fennimore Eagles, Brewers, Badgers, and her beloved Packers. Eva also enjoyed canning, gardening, and quilting with her church family. Her door was always open for family and friends and she will be deeply missed.
Eva is survived by her children; Paulette Mittlesteadt of Fennimore, Dennis (Elizabeth) Fritz of Stitzer, Margaret (David) Flesch of Oregon, Janice (Larry)Â Cochrane of Janesville, Jill (Marcus) Bresee of Fennimore, Joy (Kevin) Carr of Platteville, 12 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren, brother Wendell (Chris) Trollop of Verona along with several special nieces and nephews.
Eva was preceded in death by her parents, husband Carl on Sept. 23, 2004, and three brothers; Muriel (Evelyn) Trollop, Lavern (Betty) Trollop, and Orville (Marilyn) Trollop.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday Oct. 5, 2018 at the St. Peter Lutheran Church in Fennimore with burial to follow in the Boscobel Cemetery in Boscobel. Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 P.M. on Thursday evening Oct. 4, 2018 at the Larson Family Funeral Home in Fennimore and from 11:00 A.M. until time of service at the church on Friday morning.
