Roger E. Hugill

Roger E. Hugill, age 79, passed away on Monday morning May 14, 2018 at his residence in Cobb. He was born on Sept. 8, 1938 in Dodgeville, the son of Percy and Ione (Edwards) Hugill. He was united in marriage to Lois Vickerman on Nov. 10, 1956 in Montfort.

Roger graduated from Cobb High School and then went to work for Fisher Body of Janesville for a few years. He then returned home and attended Platteville Mining School studying mechanical engineering. Roger was employed with the State of Wisconsin working as a Dam Surveyor for several years. He became involved in private construction until owning and operating The Hugill Company until his retirement. Roger was a member of the Cobb Fire Department for several years and he and Lois enjoyed RVing and wintering in the south.

Roger is survived by his wife Lois of Cobb; three children, Kathy (Bradley) Whitford of Mineral Point, Chris (Sandy) Hugill of Cobb and Cleveland Hugill of Cobb; three grandchildren, Robin Whitford of Mineral Point, Lauren (Travis) Frazier of Middleton and Danielle Hugill of Platteville, and two great grandchildren, Nevaeh and Dylan.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Kari Hugill and a brother Robert Hugill.

As requested, there will be no services and the Soman-Larson Funeral Home of Montfort is assisting the family.
