Rewey, WI – David “Wolf” Wilkinson, age 56, of Rewey, died on Friday November 6, 2015 at UW-Hospital and Clinics in Madison. David was born on July 2, 1959 in Lancaster, WI the son of Edgar and Laurene (Carter) Wilkinson. He married Susan Smith on August 22, 1992 in Rewey.
Following graduation from Iowa-Grant High School in 1978, David attended Southwest Tech in Fennimore where he earned a certificate in auto mechanics. He worked as a carpenter at Skyline in Lancaster for many years until spending 13 years as a beekeeper. David was forced to retire due to being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 1994. Despite of his diagnoses of MS he worked out of his home garage doing auto repair. He continued to do mechanic work until four years ago. Wolf was a very courageous man who would always find a way to get things done despite of his disability. He was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, and friend who would do anything for anyone he could. This couldn’t have been shown more than in his final gift in life, the donation of his kidneys and liver.
David is survived by his loving wife Susan of Rewey, two children; Caden Wilkinson of Rewey and Tanie Wilkinson of LaCrosse, three grandchildren; Blaez Wilkinson and Tana and Liana Wilkinson, half brother Rudy Lindholm of Mineral Point, and half sister Marlene (Jack) Reeder of Clinton.
