Fennimore, WI-Daniel Alvin Neuroth, age 58, died unexpectedly surrounded by his loving family on Monday Aug. 31, 2015 at U.W. Hospital in Madison, WI. Dan was born on July 12, 1957 in Lancaster the son of Charles & Norma (Alexander) Neuroth. He was united in marriage to Laurie Hirsch on April 26, 1980 in Kieler.
Dan graduated from Fennimore High School in 1975. He continued farming the family farm until going to work in maintenance. He was a patient, calm, compassionate and caring person. Dan was always ready to help others and loved visiting with people. He enjoyed collecting toy tractors, writing in his journal and collecting family history along with being an avid Badger, Packer and Brewer’s fan. Dan was a member of the Fennimore Masonic Lodge, the Zor Shriners, and a volunteer for the area 4-H and the Fennimore Boy Scouts.
Dan is survived by his beloved wife Laurie of Fennimore, daughter Erin Neuroth of Dubuque, IA and son Ben Neuroth of Fennimore, mother Norma Neuroth of Fennimore, two sisters; Ann (Dave) Schneider of Brookfield, Laura (Jim) Kloosterboer of Fennimore, brother Doug (Pam Bausch) Neuroth of Fennimore, mother and father-in-law Dick and Rosalie Hirsch of Kieler, brother and sister-in-laws; JoAnn (Dave) Vogel of Fennimore, Rick (Stacey) Hirsch of Dubuque, IA, Don (Lori) Hirsch of Cuba City, Susan (Tim) Schuster of Dubuque, IA, Debbie (Mark) Stacher of Hazel Green, Diane (Jim) Furlong of Hazel Green, Daniel (Annie) Hirsch of Gaithersburg, MD along with several nieces and nephews.
Dan was preceded in death by his father Charles on March 30, 1992, his daughter Heather Ann Neuroth on Feb. 16, 1997.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday Sept. 4, 2015 at the Fennimore United Methodist Church with burial to follow in the St. Mary’s Catholic Church Cemetery in Fennimore. Visitation will be from 4-7:00 P.M. on Thursday Sept. 3, 2015 at the Larson Family Funeral Home in Fennimore where a Masonic Service will be held at 7:00 P.M. Thursday evening. Visitation will also be held from 10:00 A.M. until time of service at the church on Friday morning.
