BOSCOBEL – Evelyn M. Becwar, age 88, passed away on Friday January 16, 2026, at home. She was born on July 5, 1937, the daughter of Charles and Dorothy (Fritsche) Becwar.
Evelyn was a woman of quiet strength and unwavering dedication. A devoted mother, she always put her children first. She offered her love, guidance, and steady support, not only in their childhood, but as adults as well. She took great pride in her work and was a dependable presence in the Boscobel community. She never stopped caring for others, even when she herself needed care.
For many years, she worked as a caregiver, a role she embraced with compassion and commitment. She never let the difficulties that came with aging slow her down. Rather than giving up her work, she simply asked her Ricky to buy her a lighter vacuum so that she could continue cleaning for her friends. Her days were often filled with simple joys like quilting, doing word searches, and tending to the flowers in her yard.
Evelyn was always willing to lend a helping hand and was known for her selfless heart. She was a faithful member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Fennimore, making the drive from Boscobel each Saturday with her kids. She served the Boscobel community Christmas meal for 32 years, always finding joy in the service to others.
Evelyn is survived by her two children, Enrique (Karen Stoltz) Becwar and Cassandra (Nate) Musser; two grandchildren, Hayden and Haylee Musser; brother, Robert (Lois) Becwar; sister-in-law, Joyce Becwar and special cousin, Rosemary Bauer. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Paul Becwar and Dale (Carol) Becwar.
