Pamela L. Wilson

 LANCASTER - Pamela Louise (Jensen) Wilson, 74 passed away Tuesday April 22, 2025, at home in Lancaster,surrounded by her family. Pamela was born February 21, 1951, to Lewis (Jep) and Mary (Rowan) Jensen in Maquoketa, IA. Pamela attended and graduated from the Andrew, IA school system. Attending the University of Wisconsin Platteville and Graduated with a B.S. in Education in 1973 and M.S. in Education in 1977.

Pamela married the love of her life Dennis (DA) Wilson on Aug 20th, 1977, at the Methodist church in Platteville. Pam and DA were blessed with the adoption of first child Andrea and following the untimely death of her sister Roxie, she and DA welcomed their sons Brian and Tony.

While her children were young, she was the first licensed daycare provider in the county while being a counselor at Catholic Charities. After her children entered school, she started at Orchard Manor as a Social worker where she was for the next 15 years. Pam then got the drive to work with people in recovery. She went on to spend the next 20 years working as a Drug and Alcohol abuse counselor with various recovery centers around Dubuque, Prairie Du Chien, Boscobel and Fennimore.

Pam enjoyed her trips to Chicago with her family and later her daughter to see numerous musicals over the years. She also loved spending time with her 5 grandchildren watching their sporting events, music concerts and theater performances. Pamela loved Jesus and encouraged her children and grandchildren to grow in the Lord and trust him to guide their lives.

Pam is survived by her husband DA of Lancaster WI, her sons Brian (Ashley) Schroeder of Winona MN, and Tony (Megan) Wallroff of Lancaster WI, and daughter Andrea (Mike) Gomoll of Dubuque IA. She is survived by her sister Cherryl Jensen of Northampton, MA and brother Dennis (Peg) Jensen of Modesto CA.

She is further survived by brothers and sisters in law Steve (Patty) Wilson of Westby WI, Errol (Vickie) Wilson of Richland Center WI, Shirley (Bob) Lawrence of Mount Horeb WI, Terry (Michelle) Wilson of Mount Horeb WI, and Melanie (Dan) Gebauer of Sun Prairie WI. She is further survived by her grandchildren Charley, Hunter, and Liam Schroder and Natalie and Blake Wallroff. She was preceded in death by her parents Lewis and Mary Jensen, sister Roxie Jensen, nephew Garrett Lawrence, and parents in law Betty and Eldon Kenworthy.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Bethlehem E&R Church, Grant County Historical Society, or the Lancaster food Pantry.
