Gary “Herb” B. Biddick

FENNIMORE - Gary B. “Herb” Biddick, age 84, passed away unexpectedly on Monday February 10, 2025, at Grant Regional Health Center in Lancaster. He was born on June 26, 1940, in Platteville; the son of Willard and Marie (Brechler) Biddick. Gary was united in marriage to Mary Gutweiler on September 9, 1961, in Fennimore.

Herb, as Gary was affectionally known by his family and friends, loved to spend time up in northern Wisconsin in Boulder Junction and Mercer. He looked forward to many family reunions and time spent fishing there, always out fishing everybody he was with. Herb and Mary spent many years farming outside of Fennimore. They ran a dairy farm, along with Herb's brother Paul, and were never afraid of a hard day’s work. Throughout the years, Gary built relationships within the surrounding Amish communities and was their driver for the past 6 years, forming many lasting friendships.

Herb had a huge heart and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anybody at any time. He was an avid Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears fan. He loved to cheer them on and was so happy that he got to watch the Cubs win the World Series in 2016. Herb loved spending time watching his son race, at the racetrack and cherished moments spent go-karting with his kids and grandchildren.

Herb is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Mary; two children, Terry (Deborah) Biddick and Ann (Jim) Brown; five grandchildren: Brianna Libick, Bryce (Claudia Miller) Biddick, Blake Biddick, Ahren (Kerrie Fanning) Brown, and Shelby (Roberto Ramos) Brown; three great grandchildren: Jayden Barnhill, Alex Barnhill and David Libick; and sister, Carol Woodruff. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers and their spouses Royce (Marion) and Paul (Lila) Biddick; two infant brothers; and brother in-law, Lee Woodruff.
