Scott J. Conley

BOSCOBEL -Scott James Conley, age 59, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday morning July 2, 2024, at his residence in rural Boscobel. He was born on October 10, 1964, in Boscobel; the son of Leonard and Judy (Giesen) Conley. He was united in marriage to Lorene Copus on May 25, 2001, in Lancaster.

Scott graduated from Fennimore High School in 1983. Some of his proudest days were spent on the family farm alongside his father and his brothers working the land and driving a John Deere.  Scott liked visiting with neighbors and friends, and just like the rest of the Conley crew, loved to tinker and fix things. He also enjoyed spending time with his beagle, Mitze Mae and his cockatiel, Custer.

The family will find peace with Scott being in the arms of the dear family members that have gone before him.

Scott is survived by his wife Lorene of Boscobel; two sons, Jeremy Conley and Bradley (Samantha) Conley both of Jamestown, TN; grandson, Hudson Conley; his mother, Judy Conley of Bloomington; brother, Kurtis (Kelly) Conley of Bloomington; sister, Debra (Ken) Moris of Bloomington; sister-in-law, Robin Conley of Mt. Hope; aunt, Irene Conley of Chicago, IL; sisters and brothers-in-law: Jerry (Heather) Copus, Jeannine (Shawn) Grindmann, Christine (Mike) Vandewiel, Paul (Pam) Copus; and many nieces and nephews.

Scott was preceded in death by his father, Leonard Conley on August 14, 2005; brother, Ronald Conley on September 26, 2021; father and mother-in-law, Paul and Myrna Copus; and sister-in-law, Colleen Copus.
