Angela “Angie” Marie Dubel

LANCASTER - Angela Marie Dubel, age 50, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday evening December 16, 2023, at Grant Regional Health Center in Lancaster. She was born on July 25, 1973, in Lancaster; the daughter of Leander and Kathy (Bown) Dubel.

Angie graduated from Lancaster High School in 1993. She loved softball and was so proud to be a part of the first team ever to play at Lancaster High School. She continued that passion playing slow pitch for many years with Kane’s Roofing. She attended Southwest Technical College in Fennimore and received her Legal Secretary Degree. Entering the workforce, Angie worked at Shurman’s Cheese Factory in Beetown and Walmart after she moved to Hudson. There, she took data entry classes while working at a clinic in Stillwater, MN. Angie moved back to Lancaster to be closer to family and worked at Kwik Trip and New Horizons. She recently had been employed at Finley Hospital in Dubuque, IA until her untimely passing.

Angela had a passion for sports and loved riding her Harley Davidson. She will be remembered for her free spirit, very witty and happy go lucky personality.

Angela is survived by her mother, Kathy Dubel of Lancaster; brother, Kevin (Amy Burkholder) Dubel of Lancaster; aunts and uncles, Pat (Jerry) Felder of Fall River and Judy Champion of New Diggins; many special nieces, nephews, and cousins; and her dog, Harley.

Angela was preceded in death by her father, Leander Dubel; aunt and uncle, Linda and Ronnie Snider; and her uncle, Bill Champion.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 28, 2023, at Calvary Community Church in Lancaster with food and fellowship to immediately follow. Burial will be in the Bloomington Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at the Larson Family Funeral Home in Fennimore and from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service at the church on Thursday morning.

Angie was a Chicago Bears fan and loved to ride her Harley Davidson. The family encourages guests to wear their favorite sports attire or Harley gear in her loving memory.
