Marilyn Kay Venden

FENNIMORE – Marilyn Kay Venden, age 78, passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2023, at home. She was born on January 5, 1945, in Fennimore; the daughter of Cecil and Ramona (Boyd) Howell. Marilyn graduated from Fennimore High School in 1963. In 1974, Marilyn married the love of her life, Ray Venden. They moved to Harmony Grove where they had a home on the Wisconsin river. Marilyn and Ray spent many afternoons fishing on the river and drinking Budweiser on the boat. Marilyn worked for Oscar Mayer for 35 years before her retirement. After Ray passed away in 1999, she moved back to Fennimore to be closer to the rest of her family. Marilyn loved her family and had a personality that was larger than life. She enjoyed going on casino trips with her sister and took any opportunity she had to let her family know how loved they were.

Marilyn is survived by her son, Lance (Eunice) Venden; grandsons, Dalton (Kait) Venden and Devin (Heidi) Venden; 3 great grandchildren: Evie, Amelia, and Brielle; brother, Len Howell; sister, Mary Gleason; special friends, Jeff and Garrett Cornell; many nieces and nephews; and extended family and friends.  She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brother, Lee Howell; sister, Marge (Warner) Siegenthaler; brother in-law, Tom Gleason; special niece, Jennifer Gleason; and great nieces, Morgan and Shelby Gleason.

 

Funeral Services

Per Marylin's wishes, no funeral services are being held at this time. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
