LANCASTER - Terrill August Novinskie, age 92, passed away on Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at Grant Regional Hospital in Lancaster. He was born in Stitzer, Wisconsin on August 10, 1931; the son of Mike L. & Ardys (Edge) Novinskie.
Terrill graduated from Fennimore High School and then went to UW-Madison for an agriculture short course. He enlisted in the Army and was deployed to Korea as a mechanic. Terrill came home and married Shirley Bennett. They worked the dairy farm with his parents and later took over the farm in Liberty Township until the early 1980’s when their son Kirk took over. He later married JoeAnn (Bahl) Larson of Waukesha, Wisconsin. After JoeAnn’s death, he moved back to Lancaster and enjoyed spending time with his special friend LaVon Kelly. He especially enjoyed cheering on the Green Bay Packers, Wisconsin Badgers football, and the Milwaukee Brewers. He also liked basketball, bowling, playing softball, Euchre, puzzles, and traveling. He travelled all 50 states and 26 different countries. Terrill was a member of the Grant County Farm Bureau and the Registered Holstein Association.
Terrill is survived by his children: Kirk Novinskie, Kathy (Brian) Juvrud, Keith (Phyllis) Novinskie and Kayla (Nick) Kilmer; 14 grandchildren: Emily Novinskie, Jessica Novinskie, Jenna (Jason) Morris, Sarah (Casey) Craig, Heather Novinskie, Jackie (Tyson) Theilorn, John (Sara) Novinskie, Tyler ( Brittany) Juvrud, Katelyn Juvrud, Zachariah Juvrud, Miranda (Erik) Koch, Spencer Novinskie, Klaus & Hans Kilmer; 11 great grandchildren: Mason and Evan Walker, Trystan and Pierson Theilorn, Cameron, Maverick, and Barrett Novinskie, Nolan and Kennedy Juvrud, Otto Anderson, and Maren Koch; 2 step great grandchildren, Nick and Justin Morris; sister, Shyla (Dennis) Braudt; many nieces and nephews; and his ex-wife, Shirley.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mike and Ardys; wife, JoeAnn; infant son; son, Kent; daughter in law, Cindy Novinskie; sisters and brothers in law, Lola (Frank) Stavonet and Tulsa (Dick) Prince; and special friend LaVon Kelly.
