Maria Royo Rood, age 59, of Fennimore went to be with her heavenly family on Sunday, July 2, 2023, at Agrace Hospice in Fitchburg, WI. She was born in Davao City, Philippines on June 15, 1964; the daughter of Miguel and Lourdes Royo.
Maria graduated from Manuel L. Quezon University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Commerce major in accounting. She was employed fulltime at Truvant in Boscobel, for 22 years and part time at Tower Junction in Montfort. She enjoyed her time off with her close friends, eating her Filipino foods, music, and dancing. Maria will be deeply missed on this earth, and we know she will fly high.
Maria is survived by her daughter Mary Kate Royo Rood; brother, Michael (Lorna) Royo; sisters: Josephine (Virgilio), Rosemarie (Gerardo), Jaena Phoebe (Jesse); nieces, nephews, and numerous friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Miguel and Lourdes; sister, Rhea; and grandparents.
