Sarah Marie Addison, age 42, passed away on Thursday morning December 1, 2022, at Mercy One Medical Center in Dubuque, IA after her courageous two-year battle with cancer. She was born on August 12, 1980, in Boscobel the daughter of Michael Sr. and Bernice (Steines) Haile. Sarah was united in marriage to Kyle Addison on August 21, 2009.
Sarah attended high school at Iowa-Grant and then enrolled at the Southwest Wisconsin Technical College. She was employed as a CNA for many years before receiving her Associate Degree in Culinary Management. Sarah managed the kitchen at the Stone Hearth Pub in Lancaster for several years until deciding to return to school. She received her Associate Degree in Business Management, and unfortunately after receiving her first job opportunity, Sarah was diagnosed with cancer.

Sarah deeply adored her family. She loved spending time with her daughter putting puzzles together, crafting, and shopping. She also liked to go fishing, camping, seating around the campfire, spending time at the cabin in Bagley, and riding motorcycle. Sarah lived every day and will be remembered as a social butterfly with a quirky and up-lifting sense of humor. Her day-to-day battle with cancer was nothing short of an “Amazing display of strength and love”. She will be deeply missed by all her family, and friends.
Sarah is survived by her husband Kyle Addison of Lancaster, her precious daughter Bristol Lynn Addison at home, Mother Bernice Haile of Blue River, sister Shelby (Rob) Lopes of Lancaster, brother Michael (Connie Anderson) Haile Jr. of Blue River, father-in-law Gary (Sharon Stoney) Addison of Stitzer, mother-in-law Heidi (Don Kahn) Addison of Stitzer, brother-in-law Nick (Theresa Broessel) Addison of Madison along with many special aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Sarah was preceded in death by her father Michael Haile Sr.
Celebration of Life
Honoring the request of Sarah, there will be no formal funeral service. In her honor, there will be a “Celebration of Life” held from 1:00-4:00 P.M. on Saturday December 17, 2022, at the Montfort VFW/The Hollow Bar & Grill in Montfort, WI, with food and fellowship. The Larson Family Funeral Home in Fennimore is assisting the family.
