Delbert LeRoy Edge

Delbert LeRoy Edge, age 70, of Fennimore, WI passed away on Monday November 7, 2022, at the Divine Rehabilitation and Nursing in Fennimore. He was born on August 24, 1952, in Lancaster, WI the son of Harry and Avis (West) Edge. Delbert was united in marriage to Noreen Rider on August 28, 1971.

Delbert graduated from Fennimore High School in 1970. He attended the Southwest Technical College and received his degree in auto body repair. Delbert began working for Edge Bros. Construction in high school and after 20 years he went to work for the Grant County Highway Department. He served as a patrolman for many years until becoming head of maintenance. Delbert also enjoyed working on cars at Doan’s Auto Body and side by side with Gary Wehrle on many projects. Delbert also liked helping his farming friends with field work throughout the years.

Delbert was a member of the St. Peter Lutheran Church, the Tri-State Stump Jumpers, and enjoyed bowling league in Fennimore and Boscobel. He was a dedicated husband and father who deeply loved spending time with his family. He also took pride in being a friend one could count on. Delbert loved hunting and fishing along with spending time at his cabin at the River of Lakes in Bagley.

Delbert is survived by his loving wife of 51 years Noreen of Fennimore, three children; Kim (Mathew) Van Haren of Black Earth, Kenda Edge of Fennimore, and Brent (Brittany) Edge of Dubuque, IA, seven grandchildren; Mitchel and Michael Prochaska, Brooke Hilger, Renae Kane, Olivia Hilger, Bryn and Brielle Edge, and four great-grandchildren; Dallas, Braxton, Beckham, and Krue.

Delbert was preceded in death by his parents Harry and Avis Edge, and father and mother-in-law LaVerne and Lorna Rider.
