Timothy “Tim” Brown, age 69, of Boscobel, WI passed away on Tuesday, August 30, 2022, at his residence in Boscobel. He was born on January 8, 1953, in Boscobel the son of Fred and Eldeen (Wheeler) Brown. Tim was united in marriage to his longtime friend Cherrie Wilcox on May 20, 1972, at the St. John’s Lutheran Church in Boscobel.
Together, Tim and Cherrie raised two wonderful children: Dirk (Stephanie) Brown of Boscobel and Nikki (Andy) Brown-Huss of Oregon, WI. They were blessed with five grandchildren: Shelby (Brendan) Tisdale, Drew Brown, Nathan Huss, Carter Brown, and Ellie Huss, as well as two great-grandchildren: Cooper and Carsyn Tisdale. Tim is also survived by his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law who he loved like they were his own siblings: Mary (Ron) Troxel, Sandy Glasbrenner, Kathy (Mike) Nugent, Rebecca Wilcox, Robin (Tim) Bichel, Judy (Curt) Atkinson, Buffey Wilcox, Troy (Jodi) Wilcox, Lance (Jennifer) Wilcox, Ni-Gee (Ron) Jones, Barry (Amber) Wilcox, Brandee (Becki) Wilcox, as well as many very special nieces and nephews.
Tim graduated from Boscobel High School where he excelled in Track & Field. Still today, he holds Boscobel High School running records. He enrolled at the Southwest Technical College in Fennimore and then entered the work force. Tim worked numerous years as a police officer for the community of Boscobel, and later drove bus for the Boscobel Community Schools. He was forced to retire due to his declining health. Tim was a gracious recipient and received a heart transplant 26 years ago and a 17-year survivor of a kidney transplant, which his son Dirk gave to him. In his later years, Tim helped Cherrie’s business, B & B Tours. Tim will be remembered for many things, guns and attending gun shows, corvettes, and his gentle and kind ways. Maybe you were a recipient of many silver dollars that he would share. Tim adored his wife, family, and especially his grand and great-grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Tim was preceded in death by his parents Fred and Eldeen Brown, sister Sue Clingman, brothers: Tom Brown, Terry Brown, father-in-law and mother-in-law Joyce and Ivan Wilcox, brothers-in-law: Allen Wilcox and Jeff Glasbrenner.
Celebration of Life
A “Celebration of Life” service will be held at 12:00 noon on Wednesday September 14, 2022, at the Boscobel Bowl & Banquet in Boscobel, WI with burial of cremated remains in the Boscobel Cemetery in Boscobel.
Visitation
Visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service at the Boscobel Bowl & Banquet. Immediately following the service, the family invites everyone for food and fellowship there in the banquet hall.
