Doris A. Fremont

Doris A. Fremont, age 85, of Mt. Hope, WI passed away on Thursday August 25, 2022, at Orchard Manor in rural Lancaster. She was born on March 9, 1937, the daughter of Fred and Alice (Cooley) White. Doris was united in marriage to Arthur Fremont on August 19, 1955, at the Mt. Hope United Methodist Church.

Doris worked at Rayovac in Fennimore for 30 years. She was a dedicated employee, starting in the assembly, achieving her role as supervisor until finishing her time working in the testing lab. Not being able to stay retired, Doris was later employed at TC Gardens. Doris enjoyed cooking, baking, camping, car rides, and spending time at their cabin in Jay’s Landing in Bagley. She loved visiting with family and friends and was always there to help others. Doris was a dedicated member of the Mt. Hope United Methodist Church, the West Grant Lioness Club, and the American Legion Auxiliary.

Doris is survived by her husband Arthur, three children; Pat, Julie, and Steve Fremont, five grandchildren; Dawn Phelps, Chad Phelps, Eric Fremont, Joshua Fremont, and Ashley Landon, six great-grandchildren; Autumn Phelps, Alyssa Phelps, Roman Phelps, Lynea Landon, Bentley Landon, and Charlotte Phillips-Fremont, three siblings; Roger (Marjorie) White, Virgil White, and Ruth Brown, and sister-in-law Carolyn (Roger) Knapp, along with many nieces and nephews.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents, son Rick Fremont, granddaughter Monica Fremont, three siblings: Florence Krachey, Marilyn Crubaugh, and Harold White, sister-in-law Beverly White, and brother-in-law Wallace Brown.
