
Palos Verdes Estates, CA formerly of Montfort, WI- Scott Hathaway Biddick, age 91 passed away peacefully on Wednesday March 13, 2013 at the Torrance Memorial Medical Center in Torrance, CA. Scott was born on Dec. 30, 1921 in Montfort the son of John Richard & Elva Alice (Bunker) Biddick. Scott was united in marriage to Betty Womack on May 27, 1950.
Scott graduated from Montfort High School as Salutatorian. He attended Platteville College until leaving to explore the country. Scott was then enlisted in the U.S. Navy until being honorable discharged in 1946. After returning home, Scott received his Bachelors of Science in Business from the University of Wisconsin, Madison in 1949 and then went to work for International Harvester, Madison District. In 1957, Scott and Betty moved to California where he worked for Northrop Aircraft for 30 years until retiring in 1986.
Scott is survived by his beloved daughter, Diane Liepins of Glendale, CA, grandson Markus Scott Liepins of Glendale, CA and an aunt Lucille Biddick of Florence, KY. Scott was preceded in death by his parents; John & Elva Biddick, his wife Betty of 57 years on Sept. 5, 2007, two sisters; Rose Elaine (in infancy) and Joan Ruth (age 12); his son-in-law, Edgars “Mac” Liepins
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Saturday March 23, 2013 at the Soman-Larson Funeral Home in Montfort with burial to follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Montfort with Military Honors. Pastor Gary Benzschawel of the Montfort United Methodist church will be officiating. Friends may call from 1:00 P.M. until time of service at the funeral home on Saturday afternoon.
