Brandon M. Wester

Brandon Matthew Wester, age 19 of rural Fennimore, passed away peacefully at home on August 30, 2012 surrounded by family and friends. Brandon was born March 9, 1993 the son of Al and Pat (Moneypenny) Wester.

Brandon attended Fennimore Schools and graduated in 2011.  He enjoyed spending time with his friends and formed a very special bond with the teaching and support staff.  He was baptized at the Hickory Grove Lutheran Church in 1998 where he later became the “official hugger” for many years.

Brandon loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his nephews whom he adored. He enjoyed reading, jokes, going to his grandparents for ice cream and “bear hugs”, trips with family and friends and watching his favorites; Starwars and Spongebob.

Despite the challenges Brandon faced from Juvenile Huntington’s Disease, he was always an inspiration to those who knew him.  He touched many lives with his sense of humor, loving heart and big, ever-ready smile.

Brandon will be greatly missed by his parents, Al and Pat Wester,of Fennimore, two sisters: Tami (Jim) Boebel of Cuba City and Lori (Steve) Barry of Fennimore, five nephews: Tanner, Brady, and Simon Boebel, and Hunter and Ian Barry; a foster brother, Jeremy Berry of Boscobel, maternal grandmother; Alma Moneypenny of Lancaster, paternal grandfather; Clair Wester of Bruce, WI, many aunts, uncles, cousins, and his special “church family”, therapy support team and school personnel.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Floyd Moneypenny, grandmother, Lyilla Wester, special aunt Dee Moneypenny, and special friend, Howard Layman.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday Sept 3, 2012 at Hickory Grove Lutheran Church in Hickory Grove Township, rural Boscobel, WI with burial to follow in the Homer cemetery. A visitation will be held from 4-8:00 P.M. on Sunday evening Sept. 2, 2012 at the Larson Family Funeral Home in Fennimore and from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at the church on Monday morning.
