Donald Leroy Graser, age 89 of Fennimore, passed away on Sunday July 1, 2012 at his home surrounded by his family. Don was born on October 20, 1922 in Marion Township the son of Emil and Fern (Latham) Graser. He married Marion Green on Sep. 26, 1959 in Fennimore.
Don worked for Dell Needham and Son until retiring in 1981 due to health reasons. He will be remembered for the woodworking, gardening, and baking he loved to do. Don loved his pets and was a hardworking simple man whose charm and quick wit will be greatly missed.
Don is survived by his wife Marion, son Tom of Madison, daughter Kathy (Jim) Lampe of Monona, a stepson Rick (Linda) Rose of Madison, two stepdaughters, Debbie (John) Schwendinger of Marquette, IA and Jodie (Dan) Lease of Mt. Horeb, a sister Gert Morovits of Eastman, and a sister in-law Hilda Graser of Boscobel. Don is also survived by nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, a stepson David Rose, a sister Marie Richter, and a brother Arnold Graser.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday July 6, 2012 at the Larson Family Funeral Home in Fennimore, WI with burial to follow in the Prairie Cemetery. Pastor Charles Miller of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Fennimore will be officiating. Friends and family may call from 9:00 A.M. until the time of services at the funeral home on Friday morning.
