LANCASTER – Phyllis M. Klaas, age 90, passed away on Monday, June 30, 2025, at Grant Regional Hospital in Lancaster surrounded by her loving family. Phyllis was born on January 22, 1935, the daughter of Ellsworth and Elva (Bishell) Landon. Phyllis met the love of her life, Eugene Klaas, while at the Platteville Roller Rink. FENNIMORE – Norma Elizabeth Diedrick, age 96, passed away on Sunday morning June 15, 2025, at the Lancaster Health Services in Lancaster, WI. She was born on March 10, 1929, in Barrington, IL, the daughter of Eugene and Edna (Schmidt) Leibert. Norma was united in marriage to Robert Diedrick on December 2, 1956, in North Plato, IL. Norma was a 1947 graduate of Dundee High School in IL and worked at the Elgin Watch Factory. After her marriage to Robert, they resided in Hampshire, IL where they began farming. FENNIMORE – Thomas “Tom” C. Chappell, age 71, passed away on Friday June 13, 2025, at his home. Tom was born on June 2, 1954, the son of George and Dorothy (McClain) Chappell. Tom was born and raised in the Dubuque area, but in his early twenties, he made Fennimore his home. LIVINGSTON – Joann L. James, age 95, passed away on Monday June 9, 2025, at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse. Joann was born in Glen Haven Township on May 22, 1930, to Walter and Jessie (David) Morrissey.  She was a devoted wife to Calvin “Cal” James. They were married on October 8, 1949, in Bloomington.
