FENNIMORE – Marilyn Elaine (Olson) Leis, age 83, passed away on Wednesday March 26, 2025, at Dove Healthcare in Fennimore. She was born on October 6, 1941, on the farm in Soldiers Grove, daughter of Albert and Elgia (McDaniel) Olson. She graduated as the valedictorian of Soldiers Grove High School. Marilyn was united in marriage to Leonard Leis on November 5, 1960, at Five Points Lutheran Church, in rural Blue River. They lived in Beloit from 1960-1973. FENNIMORE – Evelyn E. Johnsrud, age 98, passed away on Monday, March 24, 2025, at Dove Healthcare in Fennimore. She was born on February 12, 1927, in Grant County; the daughter of Lyle and Mildred (Clark) Cohen.  Evelyn was united in marriage to Gaylord D. Welch on January 5, 1946, and together they had four children. They were together until his passing on June 5, 1989. She later married Kenneth I. Johnsrud on June 17, 1995, at their home in Castle Rock Township and they eventually moved to Fennimore. Evelyn and Kenneth were married 23 years before his passing on

BOSCOBEL – Rosetta Margaret Beilfuss, age 87, passed away on Sunday March 9, 2025, at Southwest Health in Platteville, surrounded by her family. She was born on December 2, 1937; the daughter of Eldon and Hazel (Dary) Coppernoll. Rosetta attended school in Cazenovia and Excelsior and was united in marriage to her first husband and father of their eight children, Leslie Keepers. After going their separate ways, Rosetta spent time working as a waitress at Busy B’s Café, housekeeping at the Boscobel Nursing Home, and housekeeping at Orchard Manor before retiring. REWEY – Shari “Nena” Marie Jones, age 61, passed away unexpectedly on Friday evening March 7, 2025, at Southwest Health in Platteville. She was born on July 13, 1963, in Lancaster, the daughter of Arthur and Ruth (Atkinson) Lewis. She married Dennis Jones on November 2, 2008, in Dubuque, IA. Shari graduated from Fennimore High School and then received her CNA license from Southwest Technical College in Fennimore. FENNIMORE – Patsy Louise Heberlein, age 65, passed away on Friday March 7, 2025, at home as a result of medical issues and MS. Patsy was born November 9, 1959, in Lancaster to Walter and Doris (Bartels) Keene.  She married Peter Heberlein on May 8, 1982, at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Fennimore.  They farmed near Fennimore and Preston.
