LANCASTER – Marie W. Stoney, age 96, passed away on Monday, December 11, 2023, at Orchard Manor in Lancaster. She was born on July 16, 1927; the daughter of Leonard and Hannah (Koeller) Pierce. Marie married the love of her life, Clarence Stoney, on April 25, 1945. They were lifelong farmers and together they ran their dairy farm in Potosi. After Clarence passed away in 1988, Marie remained on the farm well into her 80’s. FENNIMORE – Marilyn Kay Venden, age 78, passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2023, at home. She was born on January 5, 1945, in Fennimore; the daughter of Cecil and Ramona (Boyd) Howell. Marilyn graduated from Fennimore High School in 1963. In 1974, Marilyn married the love of her life, Ray Venden. They moved to Harmony Grove where they had a home on the Wisconsin river. FENNIMORE – Evelyn Ruth Straka, age 91, died on Friday morning, December 8, 2023, at Divine Rehabilitation and Nursing, Fennimore. Evelyn was born on October 24, 1932, in Grant County, WI; the third daughter of Chester and Anna Marie (Jensen) Graham. Kitelinger, age 84, passed away at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison on Friday, December 1, 2023.  Sally was born on February 27, 1939, in Glen Haven, Wisconsin, the daughter of Oscar and Esther Lindner. FENNIMORE – Raymond “Bill” William Benoit, age 81, passed away on Thursday, November 30, 2023, at home under hospice care. He was born on March 6, 1942; the son of Raymond and Greta (Kinmonth) Hull in New London, Connecticut. He was raised in Mystic until his family moved to Vermont to farm in 1958. Bill graduated from South Royalton High School in Vermont in 1960 followed by serving 4 years in the US Air Force.
