LANCASTER – Jacob “Jay” P. Lenz, age 68, passed away on Wednesday morning October 18, 2023, at his residence in rural Lancaster with his beloved family by his side. He was born on August 1, 1955, in Lancaster; the son of Donald and Marie (Funk) Lenz. He was united in marriage to Bonny Meier on October 8, 1977, at the St. Clement Catholic Church in Lancaster. MOUNT HOPE – Alma A. Moris, age 89, of Mt. Hope, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2023, at St. Dominic Villa in Sinsinawa, Wisconsin. She was born on July 24, 1934, in rural Potosi Township, the daughter of Joseph and Mamie (Udelhoven) Dressler. She attended St. Clement’s School in Lancaster after the family moved to their farm in North Lancaster Township. When her eldest two sisters (Virginia and Anna Marie) departed for the convent, she helped care for her younger siblings while teaching them the work ethic required for farm life. James “Jim” D. Kohlenberg

LIVINGSTON – James “Jim” Kohlenberg, age 79, passed away on Sunday, October 15, 2023, at Edenbrook of Platteville. James was born on December 6, 1943; the son of Carter and Lorraine (Schneider) Kohlenberg. He graduated from Lancaster High School in 1962 and then from UW-Platteville in 1966. On April 2, 1966, Jim married his high school sweetheart, Janet Breihan. She preceded him in death on December 5, 2017. Together, they raised three wonderful children. After graduation from UW-Platteville, Jim spent 9 years teaching math at Iowa-Grant. In addition to his time spent teaching, Jim served for 18 years on the
