Gerard Michael “Gerardo” Schaefer, age 27, of Platteville, WI passed away unexpectedly in mid-July 2020 in Coeur d’Alene, ID. The family is shocked and deeply saddened by his passing. Gerard was born in Madison, WI to Dale and Tina (Rutledge) Schaefer on December 24th, 1992. Gerardo had a kind personality, great sense of humor, and a smile that would light up a room. Lynn Newswanger Zimmerman, age 17, of Livingston, WI passed away unexpectedly on Saturday afternoon August 8, 2020 as the result of a swimming accident. He was born on October 19, 2002 in Clifton Township Grant County, WI the son of Nelson and Pauline (Newswanger) Zimmerman. Joan V. Riley, age 84, of Boscobel, WI passed away on Thursday August 6, 2020 at Divine Rehabilitation and Nursing in Fennimore. She was born on April 7, 1936 in Lynden, WA the daughter of Lee and Lola (Hillhouse) Markin. Joan was united in marriage to Ted Riley on Jan 23rd, 1955 in Mt. Zion and soon began their family of eight children. Joan loved her role as a homemaker and farm wife. She took great pride in taking care of her family, maintaining the home and was a great cook. Dennis John O’Flahrity, age 70, of Lancaster passed away on Wednesday August 5, 2020 at the Orchard Manor in Lancaster. He was born on November 24, 1949 in Boscobel the son of William Victor and Mary Janet (Smith) O’Flahrity. Dennis loved spending days on the farm and being around his family. Keith Monroe Baumgartner, age 83, of Fennimore passed away on Saturday August 1, 2020 at the Grant Regional Health Center in Lancaster. Keith was born on March 16, 1937 the son of Robert and Cecelia (Lemanski) Baumgartner. He graduated from Fennimore High School in 1954. Keith married the love of his life, Patricia Miller on June 22, 1956 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. They took over the family farm and together farmed for nearly 40 years before retiring and moving to Fennimore. Wanting to keep busy, Keith was hired as a custodian for the Fennimore Elementary School
