LaVern H. Sinjen, age 80, of Fennimore formerly of Beloit passed away on Sunday morning Aug. 12, 2018 at his residence in Fennimore. He was born on Nov. 27, 1937 in Roscoe, IL the son of Louis and Rose (Seyffer) Sinjen. He was united in marriage to Carol Volden on March 21, 1964, in Rockford, IL. LaVern graduated from Pepin High School and was drafted in the U.S. Army, serving from Aug. 15, 1960 until being honorable discharged on Aug. 14, 1962. John D. “Jack” Northouse, age 92, of Fennimore, died on Saturday morning, Aug. 11, 2018, at the Fennimore Good Samaritan Society. John was born on Nov.6, 1925 in Belmont Township in Belmont, WI the Son of Frank and Emma (Schuchart) Northouse. He married the love of his life, Imelda Riemenapp on Feb. 19, 1946, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Fennimore. Jack and Imelda along with their eight children farmed in Hickory Grove Township north of Fennimore for more than fifty years until moving into Fennimore in 2005. Homer J. Schaefer, age 94, died on Monday morning Aug. 6, 2018 at the Fennimore Good Samaritan Society in Fennimore. He was born on Aug. 10, 1923 in Potosi, WI the son of Henry & Mary (Stuer) Schaefer. Homer was united in marriage to Celine Timmerman on Oct. 7, 1947 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Kieler, WI. Homer began working as a carpenter until following his true passion, farming. He began farming in the Platteville, Belmont and south of Dickeyville areas until purchasing a farm in Hickory Grove Township rural Fennimore in 1966. He farmed with his wife
