Fennimore, WI-Breanne M. (Conley) Klar, age 29, died unexpectedly on Monday morning April 27, 2015 at her residence in Fennimore. Breanne was born on Jan. 1, 1986 in Boscobel, to Brian Conley and Bonita Palmer Gotzinger. She graduated from Westby Area High School in 2004 and Southwest Wisconsin Technical College in 2006. Fennimore, WI-Melvin Gene Klais, age 66, died on Saturday April 25, 2015 at Finley Hospital in Dubuque, IA. Melvin was born on Oct. 9, 1948 in Liberty Township Grant Co., WI the son of Charles and Dorothy (Cooper) Klais. He was united in marriage to Lavon Fritsch on June 6, 1970 in Cobb. Melvin attended Liberty Ridge, Stitzer, and then Fennimore and graduated in 1967 from Fennimore High School. He was drafted in the U.S. Army in Jan. of 1969 until being honorably discharged in Nov of 1971 serving as a helicopter and truck mechanic in Vietnam. Upon his return,

James Howard Gay, 96, Fennimore, passed away on April 11, 2015, at the Lancaster Care Facility. He was born January 17, 1919, to Carl Orville and Irene (Davidson) Gay in Seneca, WI. He went to school and graduated from Seneca High School.  Jim was united in marriage to Leora Mae Bell at the Steuben Congregational Church on November 17, 1942. They moved to Fennimore in 1943 where Jim started farming and continued until his retirement. John Edwin “Baldy” Kauffman Jr., age 90, died on Friday April 3, 2015 at the VA Medical Center in Madison. John was born on August 30, 1924 in Millville, IA the son of John Sr. and Opal (Miller) Kauffman. Baldy was a WWII Army veteran serving from Feb. 14, 1946 – Aug. 12, 1947 where he earned the rank of Staff Sergeant in the 11th Airborne Division.  He was a bull rider in the rodeo circuit and entertained with Roy Rogers and Dale Evans.  He was a member of the carpenter’s union and worked for John Deere.  He was a

Ronald “Ron” Noel Eggers, age 66 of Livingston, died on Thursday morning April 2, 2015 at the VA Medical Center in Madison.  Ron was born on Dec. 21, 1948 in Oak Park, IL the son of Arthur and Ann (Jacobs) Eggers.  He was united on marriage to Ellen Jennings on July 31, 1999. Following graduation from high school, Ron served in the US Army from 1969 – 1972.  He bravely flew as a door gunner aboard Huey helicopters during the Vietnam War.
